About This Project
As an active member of the Volunteer Fire Department Ulm-Eggingen, I took the initiative to completely modernize our outdated website from 2012. The old version was no longer responsive, technically outdated, and difficult to maintain. The goal was to build a new, modern, and visually appealing website that better represents our local fire department — both for citizens and our members.
The new version was developed entirely from scratch using PHP, JavaScript, and CSS. It now provides clear navigation, improved mobile usability, and a consistent color scheme aligned with the department’s identity. Dynamic pages such as the News and Operations sections can easily be updated by the department, ensuring the website stays up to date.
In addition to the technical redevelopment, I also created a new logo and visual identity for the department, designed graphics for social media, and coordinated the integration of photo and video content to better communicate our work and community engagement.
